Is an Ireland where people with disabilities have freedom, choice and control over all aspects of their lives and can fully participate in an inclusive society as equals.

Our Mission:
The Center for Independent Living Ireland is a DPO which is led by people with disabilities to create a national representative voice to collectively advocate on behalf of the independent living Movement in Ireland. We promote a social model of disability and removal of societal barriers that prevent active equal participation of people with disabilities, challenging the denial of people’s rights and the promotion of the philosophy of independent living. We will develop action research and collective policy based on lived experience and work with service providers, Government departments, politicians and civil society to bring about equality for people with disabilities.
